JUST ME: Acting Normal

A few weeks ago during my visit in the friendly city, I decided to do something fun for my blog. I am lucky enough to know one of Port Elizabeth’s finest photographers.  She also happens to be my best friend.

It’s been proven on more than one occasion that we can not work together on a project because our personalities clash, mainly because I’m very hard to work with and she accuses me of being to “bossy”. Never the less, this spur of the moment shoot took me by surprise. I had so much fun. She finally agreed to give me a few minutes of her time but obviously in her time because I did not have the opportunity to dress up for this. Still though,  the photos look great. She is really talented and I absolutely love how she brings out the beauty of natural elements.

There isn’t much to say about my outfit. I didn’t put much thinking or planning into it and I was not going to loose sleep over it either. All I knew on this day was that I wanted to feel comfortable. I’ve never been a fashionista or followed any kind of trend. If you like something – wear it, that’s my fashion philosophy.

I’m not a model either even though it’s pretty much what most girls aspire to be. Every girl wants to look and feel pretty and be on top of their game. Honestly, that’s perfectly fine. But do not conform to society be your own person. The world lacks originality. Be happy with your own style. Practice self confidence and don’t look for approval from others because that’s where happiness begins. Love yourself first.

I’ve posted a few of these images on my social networks. I wasn’t surprised at the amount of likes and comments as these pictures are flawless. And that is not me being conceited. If you have a moment to spare, check out Azidoesit Photography http://www.azraa10.wix.com you won’t be disappointed.  Alternatively, you can contact her on azraa10@hotmail.com or give her a call on 0797136703 for that photoshoot you’ve been dying to do. She is young, fresh and fun to work with.

Until next time,
Keep growing, learning and reflecting!
