Trying to keep up with one of my resolutions for this year has been hard. Drinking about three glasses of water a day isn’t nearly enough as the daily recommended consumption is eight, right? Well, in an attempt to drink more water I needed to spice things up a bit. I found this recipe online and thought it’s worth trying. It’s so tasty and refreshing. Not to mention the countless benefits. It kind of reminds me of a mojito but without the ridiculous amount of sugar!
The lemon in this water recipe is great for boosting your immune system and cleaning out harmful toxins in the body. The cucumber is an anti-inflammatory and helps you to stay hydrated while the mint sweetens your drink without adding heaps of sugar and aids in digestion. What more could you possibly ask for? And yes, I know people have been doing this for decades but I only just stumbled on it and I thought I’d share it with you, just in case you didn’t know, like me.

Cucumber, Lemon and Mint Water Recipe
8 cups of filtered water
1 medium cucumber
1 medium lemon
10-12 mint leaves
Add your thinly slice up the cucumber, lemon and mint leaves to your water. Mix it well and allow to steep in the fridge overnight. Enjoy!
NOTE: You can keep topping up the jug with more water for a few days until you need to change the content.

Have a tall glass every morning, you will certainly feel the difference because you will be releasing toxins from your body that make you feel sluggish and sick. I’ve been doing this for a few days now and I can definately say that I feel great!
