Imperatively… Imperative! A Matter Of Life & Death

Hello and Welcome to my blog…

Today I was thinking about what is important to me. This is such a powerful question and it is so easy to rattle on about material things in our lives but how often do we actually stop to think about the things in our lives that really matter most?

Everyone will answer this question differently and that’s not surprising because we are all different and we all have different priorities. With that being said, I believe that it is really important to stay mindful of what’s important in our lives so we can live a life that is more meaningful.

It’s very difficult to narrow it down to one thing, but if I had too, I would definately go with love because learning to love unconditionally here on earth brings me closer to God and helps me to love myself and everyone else, even the people I do not like, especially, the people I do not like. You know what mean?  Love gives you the strength to heal, so it’s definitely the most important thing for me that gives my life meaning but the rest needs to be acknowledged.

My faith and relationship with a power greater than myself because my faith is what keeps me pushing and striving to do bigger and better things in my life. It helps steer my life in the right direction and gives a lot of meaning to a simple day.

My husband and my family are very important to me, that goes without saying, because they are the ones I can share good and bad times with, they are my support system and I know that they would always be there for me no matter what. I cherish every moment I have with them, because without them, I would not be where I am today.

Travelling the world not only because it’s so much fun to visit new places but because it opens my eyes to new things and opportunities. It’s a great opportunity for personal growth. You learn so much about yourself and the people around you. All in all it helps in all aspects of my life. And trust me, travelling makes you a lot more interesting.

And that brings me to another thing that matters most to me, and that is seeking knowledge. Education happens whenever you leave the house, you just need to open your mind and be prepared to learn. Some places you learn more than others and it’s not always the same. Seeking and acquiring knowledge helps in the productivity of life. Any form of learning empowers you as an individual and I welcome it with open arms.

Last but not least, is the ability to help people be happy and to leave each person I interact with at least a little bit better off than I found them. I want to be remembered as someone who was always kind, loving and thoughtful.

Reflecting on what kind of person you want to be and what you want out of life will increase your understanding of yourself. Living according to this understanding will give you a sense of purpose, fulfilment and peace so that at the end of your life you don’t say “I should have spent more time on the things that really matter”.

What’s most important in your life? And how often do you remind yourself of what’s most important to you? Please share your thoughts and feelings with me.

Always,
Fazeelah
